I don’t understand. Why? We went everywhere together. We went to the movies, we went to restaurants. I don’t understand. After all we’ve done together. How could she just have abandoned me like that? I refused to believe it. I had left her outside for a second. Just a second. But then, she was gone. She couldn’t have gone far…but how could she just disappear? It was impossible. Then, just when I thought she was gone forever, I remembered I had put her in the garage for fear the azure paint job I had applied to it would be ruined.
One day, Mr. Lego man decided to stroll down a narrow path in the forest. However, his attitude was amiss, so he decided to go down the dangerous path. This decision would soon haunt him, for he stumbled across a deadly pile of insects that had been enlarged by some sort of witchcraft. He entreated to the insects not to devour him, but it was too late. His tremulous form triggered the insects to attack. His camera later revealed the last moments of his death to the detectives. The wildlife reserve was not sued due to the posted warning signs.
During the English class over at Beta Academy, Mr. Chavarria barged into the room as if he was just fired from his favorite job at about 11:54. He dumbfounded everyone in the room by removing several beloved books from the student library deeming them “Inappropriate”. He also stated, “7th-grade students are starting to bring banned books that have to be removed as quickly as possible.” Fortunately for the students and the teacher, the incident had been planned all along, and the books are safe and ready to be checked out once again.
My personal song has got to be “The Resistance” by Skillet. This song portrays the element of being stronger working with others and working hard for one specific goal. First off, the phrase in the second verse, “Faith is like a fire that never burns to embers” shows how the determination of your will never dies out if your desire is strong enough. This line represents that the hard work of average individuals turns them into the greats and people who we strive to be like every day. This calling through melody and lyric reminds me to keep working towards my goal. Personally, one of my favorite lines in this song is, ” This is how we rise up, heavy as a hurricane louder than a freight train”. This has got to be one of the biggest connections from the song to my life because many people deal with everyday struggles that others don’t. This sets apart average from good and good to great. As a result, many kids and teens, especially kids at Beta, look at the homework of high schoolers and make a remark like, ” Lucky…” showing that their homework is much more advanced than that of a regular student. Finally, to show that no limit can ever be reached, the line that comes to mind is, ” It’s our resistance, you can’t resist us”. This line is the most meaningful to me because it portrays the essence of never slacking because a champion can easily be overcome if he/she is not working to their greatest potential all the time. This line is everything to me because it proves to me that my dream is achievable. All in all, ” The Resistance” by Skillet is my personal song because of the strong essence of perseverance, determination, and most importantly unity not only with others, but yourself as well.
They were trapped. Owen knew they worked so hard to survive, from evading zombies to escaping murderers, everything the group of friends worked for would all be in vain if they died. Right here, in the sewer with no way out except the one sewer cover they were looking through. Then the sewage rose. The stream flooding the walls. It came higher and higher. They yelled. With all their energy they could muster, yelling at the top of their lungs. It seemed hopeless… until the sewer cover was pulled off. A rope outstretched. Owen was the first to reach it.
Greetings, my name is Gabriel. I am very passionate about reading, math, sports, and video games. I enjoy spending time with my friends and I love to talk while having a nice meal. I do not like doing work , but I will do whatever I have to do in order to make sure I live life with as few regrets as possible. I love to work out with my dad even if it drains my energy for the next day, and I absolutely love to get away from the house. I do not have cool items like phones so I really don’t know much about the outside world except for what my parents tell (nothing). For these reasons, I will go to any event as long as I do not believe it s a waste of time. Usually, with yelling kids I am not very patient but I am almost never bored with friends. Or maybe we are cool figures that can transform into cool animals if the people who can move do something” ,says Carl. “Or maybe,” Rose starts, ” we are pieces of trash that were meant to stay here for the rest of eternity until the people who created realize that we are usless.” That is very sad,” says Jacob. “Will we ever be something?” “Yes,” Carl starts but is interrupted by Rose, ” No we are usless items no one cares about. OK?”
I was scared. Scared of people, scared of words, scared of nature itself. Here I was, standing here viciously fighting with saiyan powers. I did not want to kill anything, but the way monsters were able to create illusions terrified me. I did not know if the tiger blocking our escape from a different dimension as real. I gained unatural powers, battled demons, and escaped prison. Others went insane to where blood oozed out their head. I thought I am a Rodriguez, a Doria, and a mystery. I I went super saiyan and killed the tiger with my bare hands.
One day, I walked to a candy shop while enjoying a creamy PB&J sandwich that melted in my mouth. It made me so energetic! To my surprise, no one was at the cashier’s table. I tip-toed to the back of the dark shop. I heard a battery operated bell ring and looked back. An empty looking man with a white face was standing there with a shirt that read, ” I eat teenagers for breakfast”, and I don’t thing it was kidding. I hurried to him. I used my energy to become super saiyan. I used Ka-meh-ha-meh-HHHHHAAAAA! I killed it.
One day I was strolling down the street when a millionaire passed by me. I saw him leave his suit-case on the floor and he did not notice. I thought about returning it , but then I remembered this single suit-case was worth more than what my entire family owned! I picked it up and I raced off to my house. I went inside and shared the news. My parents couldn’t believe it! However, I pondered what the not- millionaire would do without his money. I need the money, but where would we hide it all? I dug a tremendous hole.
